The Bay Area has been my home for more than 30 years. The rich cultural diversity, surrounding natural beauty and economic possibilities has helped shape who I am today. I feel lucky to be part of this community in which I grew up and fortunate that I am able to work in my own backyard.

Would someone describe you as an early bird or a night owl?
Night owl. I can’t sleep until the work is done.
Favorite restaurant or hang out?
It’s hard to choose a favorite around here but I’m partial to spots with a nice waterfront view like that of Brotzeit Lokal on the estuary or Portal by Lake Merritt.
Famous person (living or dead) you’d most like to meet?
US Presidents George Washington and Barack Obama.

Work hard, work smart.
What’s your most treasured possession?

What would you tell your 16-year old self?
I would tell my 16-year old self to invest more time with my grandparents.
Funniest/most interesting thing you’ve ever found in a house you’ve helped?
Hidden rooms are fun to discover, my favorite was a whimsical fairy tale scene of garden gnomes – very Oakland!
