Q&A

  • Would someone describe you as an early bird or a night owl?
  • Early bird. Even if I stay up late, I’m usually awake before the birds start chirping. My kids are early risers too (yes, weird for teenagers) so if I want ANY time to myself, this is it!
  • Favorite restaurant or hang out?
  • My front porch. I learned the beauty of porch coffee or cocktails when living in DC. It’s a great way to stay in touch with neighbors and I’ve got a spectacular view of Mount Diablo.
  • Famous person (living or dead) you’d most like to meet?
  • I have to choose a couple–the Obamas. Thanks to my White House days, I’ve met a few past presidents but I’m a political junky so I think the Obamas would be pretty cool to have over for porch cocktails.
  • What’s your mantra?
  • Be bold. Be kind. Make a difference.
I say this to my kids most mornings as they leave for school and I only occasionally get an eye roll.
  • What’s your most treasured possession (besides your phone!)?
  • My mint green Santa Cruz Juliana mountain bike. Mountain biking is my play time. Ride with me through the trees at Joaquin Miller and I think you’ll get hooked too.
  • What would you tell your 16-year old self?
  • If it scares you, go for it!
  • Funniest/most interesting thing you’ve ever found in a house you’ve helped someone buy or sell?
  • The frozen top layer of a wedding cake from the original owners’ wedding 60 years ago.

Lorraine grew up working in her dad’s Wine Country law practice, where community and hard work were the norm. A week after graduating from UC Davis, she headed to Washington, DC as a young political appointee in the White House. Lorraine loved her 10 years working in our nation’s capital and the many opportunities to travel the world, but ultimately her ties to the Bay Area brought her back to the home she loves.

Lorraine is passionate about supporting her clients’ dreams and creating a path to achieving those dreams. The dedication to her clients is matched by Lorraine’s dedication to her family and community. You can often find her mountain biking or hiking Bay Area trails with her four kids. She also spends countless hours involved in the operations of the Walnut Creek Surf Soccer Club. Her vast local knowledge of the community and her social network of Bay Area natives, gives her a competitive edge in helping clients market their homes. Her shrewd negotiating skills are tested daily by her teenagers and shine while negotiating for clients. With a corporate background in economics and marketing, Lorraine has a thorough understanding of the real estate market, and she knows what it takes to champion your needs.
