Q&A

  • Would someone describe you as an early bird or a night owl?
  • No debate here! I am usually up just before the sun but when I do get a chance to enjoy a deep sleep-in I feel blessed.
  • Favorite restaurant or hang out?
  • My favorite hang out is Abio’s Oakland office! The design so inspires me and it is a wonderful space in which to work and meet clients and friends.
  • Famous person (living or dead) you’d most like to meet?
  • Simone de Beauvoir – bien Sur! She wrote the book that sparked my interest in biology, gender relations, and French culture.
  • What’s your mantra?
  • This one was recently tested:  “I Am Willing” This phrase helped me survive an impossible trek 5127 vertical feet up a volcano in Central America.
  • What’s your most treasured possession (besides your phone!)?
  • My collection of stained glass from years of taking a class. One piece that I made is of a Victorian house.
  • What would you tell your 16-year old self?
  • Stop worrying, get out and exercise and everything will start to make sense!
  • Funniest/most interesting thing you’ve ever found in a house you’ve helped someone buy or sell?
  • This is my deepest secret! If I tell you, I must kill you J

Exuberance, precision, tenacity and a deep appreciation for constructed spaces are some of the qualities I bring to the table to get the best outcomes for my real estate clients.  When it comes to buying and selling properties I bring over 12 years experience at all levels serving individuals and investors.

While working together, my clients and I get to know each other quite well! So let’s get started: Immediately upon arriving the San Francisco Bay Area, it felt like I had found my true north. I moved to California from Washington DC where I had attended college at George Washington U and earned a degree in International Relations.  Prior to that I grew up in Cincinnati where I now have cash flow investments. I read a lot; play tennis and ski; volunteer and travel plenty.

My first career focused on the environment – I was so inspired by the beauty of the Bay Area and the opportunity to be outdoors all seasons. Ask me about the topics I worked on as I still follow them with great interest; green “clean” tech, old growth forest conservation, zero carbon energy sources, such as solar and geothermal and most recently water conservation.  Again, similar to real estate, passion has been the driving force.

Whether buying and selling as an investment or helping to secure a first home, I delve into each real estate challenge as if it were my own, applying precision and detailed accuracy. It has been a privilege for me to channel my passion towards helping others and do it with confidence and experience.

Extracurricular … how else can I describe some of the out of the box experience? I successfully matched co-buyers of a Berkeley fourplex; helped investors plan and execute asset acquisitions and identified value added strategies. “Hidden square footage” is one of my mantras. Over the years, I have successfully subdivided five multi-unit buildings in East Bay. Additionally, I did a top to bottom renovation of a 4000 sq ft 1895 Queen Anne Victorian in downtown Oakland; I like to all this project my Harvard Education. Hands-on construction experience is opportune for you. Early on I made mistakes! Let these be the mistakes that you will never make.
