Abio Properties co-founder Linnette Edwards shared with San Francisco Business Times readers all about the new trends she is seeing in the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties housing markets, especially when it comes to preemptive offers.
“Ideally you are strong enough to the point where the seller will want to take your offer before looking at set offers on an offer date,” Edwards said….”the preemptive strategy is somewhat controversial and a sign of buyer frustration with all the competition.”
Edwards describes a particular transaction, telling the SF Business Times, “They lost out on a previous offer because the agent said they wouldn’t take a preemptive offer and they took one anyway, so it put a bad taste in the buyer’s mouth.”
